KTLA's sister station WKRN reports. Toni Alcaraz last spoke with her 33-year-old sister, Nikki Alcaraz, also known as Nikki Cunningham, three weeks ago. Nikki had set out in her black Jeep with her boyfriend, Tyler Stratton, and a dog to visit family in Orange County, California."I talk to her almost every day, so I am scared something happened to them," said Toni. "It's a trip she's done hundreds of times. Our uncle is still in Southern California, and she goes to see him often."During their cross-country trip, the couple had a run-in with law enforcement in Torrance County, New Mexico. OAKLAND – A small positive for Oakland A’s right-hander Luis Medina as he continues to gain experience at the Major League level is that he’s only allowed 28 hits through his first 27 2/3 innings pitched. The bad news for the 24-year-old Medina is that 10 of those hits have been home runs, including the three he gave up Sunday in the A’s 10-1 loss to the Houston Astros before an announced crowd of 8,809 at the Coliseum.Medina allowed home runs to Jake Meyers, Chas McCormick, and Jose Altuve as the Astros swept the three-game series and handed the A’s their 11th straight loss, their longest losing streak in close to three decades. Meyers’ homer was a three-run shot in the fourth inning, and McCormick and Altuve hit back-to-back solo shots in the top of the seventh. The A’s allowed an Oakland record seven home runs in all, with Yordan Álvarez hitting two, and José Abreu and Jeremy Peña each connecting on one.Abreu took Sam Long deep in the eighth inning for his first homer of the season...

MILAN (AP) — AC Milan secured its spot in next season’s Champions League by winning 1-0 at Juventus on Sunday — barring any off-field developments.Olivier Giroud’s goal late in the first half was enough for Milan to secure a spot in the top four in Serie A as it left the Rossoneri six points above fifth-place Atalanta with just one match remaining.Milan also moved eight points above Juventus. However, the Bianconeri could still appeal the 10-point penalty it was given for false accounting.Coming into the match, Juventus was the only side that could possibly replace Milan in the top four in the Italian league. But its hopes had imploded last week after the points deduction and a 4-1 loss at Empoli.Milan knew a point would be enough and both sides had chances before Giroud broke the deadlock, five minutes before the break, when he peeled away from his marker to head Davide Calabria’s cross into the far bottom corner.Juventus almost snatched an equalizer late on as Danilo’s volley from ...

(CNN) — After several weeks of tense negotiations, President Joe Biden and House Republicans have reached an agreement in principle to raise the debt ceiling and cap spending. The drama is by no means over. Congressional leaders in both parties have to convince enough of their members to vote for the agreement, which contains provisions that lawmakers on each side of the aisle don’t support. Not all the details of the agreement are available yet. And the information made public Saturday evening shows some discrepancies. The bill text is scheduled to be released on Sunday. Here’s what we know about the deal, based on a fact sheet circulated by House Republicans and a source familiar with the negotiations.Raises the debt ceiling: The agreement would increase the debt limit for two years.Caps non-defense spending: Under the deal, non-defense spending would remain relatively flat in fiscal 2024 and increase by 1% in fiscal 2025, after certain unspecified adjustments to appropriat...
